Comparison: Similarities
Both the Nile and the Amazon River feed millions of people. They also provide water for drinking or even bathing or washing their hands. They also provide a way of transportation to countries that they run through. They also provide water for growing crops and agriculture, which also provides food for people around the countries they flow through. They are also both the longest rivers in the world. One of the similar problems for both rivers is quite obvious. They both have massive pollution. This causes a problem because it can kill many fish or make them unhealthy to eat which either makes less food for people or can make people sick. Other land animals also eat fish, which can also make them unhealthy. Its also bad for the plants since the water that is being used to grow them is polluted. They are both the longest rivers in the world and in their regions. They both also go through many countries although the Nile flows through more countries.
